At Home Hair Care

SHAMPOOING
Only use sulfate free pH balanced moisturizing shampoos on your extensions. Wash your hair 1 to 2 times a week to keep hair clean. Also, wash your hair right after swimming or exercise.

HOW TO SHAMPOO EXTENSIONS
Wet your hair and apply shampoo on your scalp and through the extensions. Thoroughly scrub your scalp and squeeze the shampoo into your extensions. DO NOT RUB your extensions roughly back and forth. Rinse shampoo and repeat one more time if necessary.

CONDITIONING
Conditioning your hair extensions is very important and should be done every time you wash your hair. You should choose a conditioner that is pH balanced and free of parabens and sodium chloride.

HOW TO CONDITION EXTENSIONS
Apply conditioner to all of your extension hair while avoiding the scalp area. Conditioner on the scalp will cause the extensions to loosen up faster.

For your hair extensions it is easiest to put the conditioner on a brush and then comb the conditioner through your hair. We recommend you use a wide tooth comb or a detangling brush.
Brush and pin up each row, one by one, until all your extension hair is conditioned. Leave in for 1 to 2 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

DEEP CONDITIONING
After shampooing and conditioning, apply Cuticle Lisse Smoothing Leave In Therapy and Argan Oil Shine Serum onto towel-dried hair, then work it through the hair, concentrating on the ends. After applying you can either style or air dry your hair.

BRUSHING
Your hair needs to be brushed daily between washings unless you have curly hair extension. If you have curly hair you may need to wash your hair every other day.
Brush your hair and extensions, holding onto the base of your hair/scalp with your other hand. Be careful not to pull on your extensions.
Brush curly hair only when wet.

STYLING
If you are going to be styling your hair with hot tools such as curling irons or blow dryers, you are going to want to protect your extensions from heat damage. We recommend that you apply Cuticle Lisse Thermal Defense Spray on your extensions before styling.

STYLING TIP
To create natural curls and waves, apply Cuticle Lisse Smoothing Leave-In Therapy and Argan Oil to your hair, scrunch it and then let it air dry.

BE CAREFUL
We cannot guarantee that your Cuticle Hair will remain healthy if you use excessive heat. Please use with caution and turn down temperature of your hot tools. We recommend you use hot rollers for styling.

Sleep
Brush your hair before going to bed and pull it back in low pony tail or high bun . It will keep your hair from tangling and keep your curls nice. Never go to bed with wet hair as it can cause matting.

CHEMICAL TREATMENTS
You should not chemically alter your hair extensions. This includes coloring, straightening treatments, perms and any other services that will damage your hair extensions.

SWIMMING
Wet your hair before entering the water, apply a silicon-based product or leave-in conditioner, and braid your hair. If you are getting in and out of the water, reapply the silicon-based product and brush any tangles out before entering the water again. Always wash and condition extensions after swimming. When using sunscreen only use brands that do not have the ingredients Avobenzone and Octocrylene as it can discolor the extensions.
